Implementation of electronic health records (EHR) has provided many benefits that considerably improved the healthcare delivery system. But updating EHR take a significant amount of time and this reduces the number of patients a physician could see in a day. With the help of DigitScribe’s medical transcription services, physicians can easily maintain up-to-date EHR and concentrate more on their patients while we take care of their transcription needs.
There are two ways in which physicians can dictate personal health information: telephone dictation and digital handheld recorders. Telephone dictation allows our clients to call on our numbers using any touch-tone telephone (like cellphones) and simply dictate the information. This personal health information is then securely transmitted to one of our transcriptionists who converts the telephone dictation into a medical record. After this it goes to an editor, quality controller, and production manager for quality checks. Once approved, this medical record is sent to the client and is available as a downloadable file.
Apart from telephone dictation, clients could also use digital handheld recorders to create audio files (in .wav, .dss, or .mp3 format) and easily upload them to our system by logging on to their account. Our transcriptionists use state-of-the-art transcription equipment and dictionaries to ensure every transcript is error-free. They also go through a training program every year to enhance their skills.
